DFUHC's crack oppo-research staff has put the finishing touches on the club's investigation into alleged impropriety by a certain intramural tournament opponent. And by "a certain" we mean "the Lodge."

My sources tell me we had a close win in our last game on Monday night, 5-4!

But we only had one woman (way to represent *name removed to protect the innocent*!) so we were disqualified afterwards...so that's it for the season.

To the kids out there (and that's what we really play for afterall...the kids) let this be a lesson to you. Your opponents will cheat. That's why it's vital to beat them to it.

A shocking turn of events -

DFU Hockey Club associates have intercepted an email communication meant for the team members of the club's first-round playoff opponents. DFUHC is exploring legal options. The Danny Almonte episode at the Little League World Series provides a powerful precedent for overturning yesterday's decision.

The text of the intercepted email is as follows:

"Hey everyone,

We need to make an adjustment on our team. Last night's game made it clear that we are too "stacked" for the C-League...we've picked up people along the way, which is GREAT, but I think we've got to ease up a little bit because it's just not fair for us to all be playing together in this league. And it can't be too fun for these other teams if we just kill them with no effort...

Please, if you've played in the A league or if you are a club player, I think we'll have to ask you to sit out from now on. It's basically an unfortunate result of me not knowing at the beginning of the season that we would have such a strong assortment of people...I signed us up for C league based on the team we had last year...

This means that we need some of you other folks to come tonight! We're going to need people! So please blitz me if you are going to come. Or if you have any questions about what this means for you specifically (those of you who have been playing).

The game tonight is at 9pm. I unfortunately have a meeting I cannot miss, but Tony will be there so you can ask for him and he'll let you know what's up.

On Sunday night, Feb 12th, the DFU Hockey Club was eliminated from the Dartmouth College Intramural Hockey Championship Tournament by a final score of 8-2.
